My back and forth

“You want to spend how much on a [enter latest lusted item]”
“Ummmmmm….”
“There is nowhere to wear it that warrants spending that much. Don’t buy it”
“Ummmmmm….”
“See you don’t even have a valid argument as to why you should buy it other than you think it’s pretty”
“Well it’s just I have already bought it…. but look how pretty!”

Take a guess which one I am in this conversation? The item/person I am talking about/with may change but in general it always follows this pattern. Happily though I know I am not alone in these back and forth's and most people will be reading this in the knowledge they have indulged and had the shame of confessing to somebody. So let (s)he without a frivolous purchase cast the first stone.

For my first blog I ummed and ahh’d about what to write as I didn’t want to simply launch into my fashion lusts and loves but yesterday I received a Wildfox tee and voila, inspiration! Which I think in itself warrants the purchase justified and will now be used as the reason why I bought it in the inevitable back and forth I will have surrounding it when I wear it.

If you aren’t familiar with Wildfox they are an LA brand created by Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon who create a range of tees, sweaters and dresses as well as few other delights. If you are familiar with Wildfox you have no doubt just looked over the above images again and spotted something else you want to add to your collection.
I fall into the later and so am already eyeing up the lipstick traces tee (picture 2). But yesterday I was very lucky and received the Aquarius astrology tee. Now, just to be clear when I say lucky I mean "ignored my bank balance and bought it anyway" not "it magically appeared on my doorstep and must have been given to me by pixies". Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to wear it yet but I will be sure to post up pictures once I have. In the mean time I have included a picture left.

If you are thinking of getting one, do! This is such an incredibly comfy top. As soon as I put it on I was in love. Anything which says “simply irresistible” on it has to get some bonus points but even without that the main thing that sold me was how it sat off the shoulder. Previously tees which have claimed this never looked quite right on me but this one sits effortlessly; chic and casual.

Prices on tees range currently range from £58 to £142 so I suppose if you simply say “it’s a t-shirt” the gasps and questions of some people may be understood BUT personally I think on this occasion money well spent.
